Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) Compliance.

The Servicemembers Civil Relief Act is a federal law that allows active-duty service members to terminate a residential lease early under specific qualifying conditions — most commonly, PCS orders to a new duty station 50 or more miles away, deployment of 90 days or longer, or separation from service. Early termination under the SCRA requires 30 days' written notice and a copy of the qualifying orders; rent is prorated through the termination date and the lease ends without penalty.

Mill Gardens Apartments complies fully with the SCRA. Active-duty residents with qualifying orders should submit written notice and a copy of their orders to the property manager — our contact page has the office address and email. This is a legal right that applies to every rental property; we're noting it here so military renters know what to expect, not as a marketing feature.
